Amartya was one of the three students selected by Emory Laney Graduate School to participate in the 2026 AAAS Catalyzing Advocacy in Science and Engineering (CASE) program. The CASE program is an immersive workshop designed to prepare trainees to learn about science policy and advocacy, enabling them to become persuasive voices for research and be active participants in the federal policymaking process. Through this program, he participated in congressional visits and represented STEMM research community in Emory and in the state of Georgia at the US capitol.
